The Ada skirt was inspired by groovy 70s fabric designs. The skirt can be worn all year round: in summer, you can wear a skirt liner or biking shorts underneath for more coverage (or just wear it over your swimwear if you feel like it!). In fall and winter, I like to wear my Ada skirt over brightly colored tights.
The Ada skirt pattern is also available as a pattern bundle with the matching Ada top (10% off). Combined, the top and skirt make a very cute set which is perfect for summer festivals and cozy winter dates.
SIZE: XXS-5XL (hip measurement: 80-140 cm). The length can be customized.
SKILL LEVEL: advanced beginner (you just need to know the basics). This pattern includes written instructions, photos of every step, charts, and graphics, so it’s very easy to follow!
LANGUAGE: English (I use US terminology)
YARN: you’ll need yarn weight 2 (Fine/Sport/5ply) or 3 (Light/DK/Light Worsted/8ply). I’ve used 9 balls of Katia Capri (50 g = 125 m/137 yds) and I usually wear size M.
CUSTOMIZATION OPTIONS: you can choose between 3 different lengths: short, medium, or long.
The Ada skirt pattern uses the Mystical Lanterns motif of which Janie Crow is the original designer.
