Description
The Bonnie vest is an incredibly soft and comfy sweater vest, with ribbed borders and a turtleneck. The vest consists of lacy flower motifs, which are joined without sewing. It’s the perfect spring project: inspired by blossoms, and made with an unspun yarn, which is lightweight but also surprisingly warm. In combination with the stitches used, the unspun yarn creates a wonderfully textured and fluffy look.
SIZE: made to measure. The length can be customized.
SKILL LEVEL: intermediate. This pattern includes written instructions, photos of every step, illustrations, and stitch charts, so it’s very easy to follow!
LANGUAGE: English (I use US terminology).
YARN: you’ll need an unspun yarn of weight 4 (medium/aran/worsted/10ply). I recommend using a wool/alpaca blend. If you can’t find the recommended yarn, a blown yarn (for example Drops Air) gives a similar effect. I used 5 balls of Malou Light by Lang Yarns (1 ball = 50 g/190 m/208 yds) and I usually wear size M.
Enjoy crocheting!

I’m only on making the flowers but the pattern makes them very easy to make. Every step is explained in detail which I really appreciate. The pictures makes it even easier. The puff stitch is explained in text which works well but I did look up a video just to confirm the way I understood the instructions was correct which it was.
