Description
The Holly scarf and matching bonnet make a cute set to keep you warm, cozy, and stylish this winter! The stitch used for these projects is two sided; a different color will look more prominent on each side. This makes the scarf and bonnet reversible, so they match even more of your outfits!
It’s possible to use different yarn types/weights, so these projects are great for using up your yarn stash. Once you’ve got a hang of the stitch, you can get creative and use it to make a headband, beanie, large wrap, or what else you can think of! The Holly scarf and bonnet also make great handmade gifts.
Please note that you’ll need some of the instructions in the scarf pattern to make the bonnet; this is why these patterns are only available together (and not separately).
SIZE: made to measure. It’s very easy to adjust the length/width of your scarf to your liking, and the bonnet is made to fit your head measurements.
SKILL LEVEL: advanced beginner (you just need to know the basics). This pattern includes written instructions, photos of every step, and graphics, so it’s very easy to follow!
LANGUAGE: English (I use US terminology).
YARN: I used yarn weight 2 (Fine/Sport), but feel free to use thicker yarn (up to weight 4) for warmer, bulkier pieces. Using a soft material such as merino wool or even a cashmere blend will make your set extra comfy. The yarn I used is Hobbii Extra Fine Merino (1 ball = 50 g/165 m/180 yds). 1 ball of each color should be enough for each project.
CUSTOMIZATION OPTIONS: you can customize the length and the width of the scarf, and adjust the bonnet to your head measurements.
Enjoy crocheting!
