Maisie top – crochet pattern

The Maisie top is a lacy crochet design with ruffles and straps on the sides. Wear it as a summer top, or layer it over a blouse to make it more spring/autumn weather proof. The ruffles start just under the bust, and give the top a cute babydoll/peplum look.

The construction of the Maisie top is pretty simple, and the stitch is easy and repetitive. You’ll have this top worked up in no time! There are a few ways to customise the top: the length is adjustable, and you could add extra stitches to make the top even more ruffly. Making a top without ruffles is also an option.

SIZE: made to measure (you can adjust it to your own measurements).

SKILL LEVEL: advanced beginner (you just need to know the basics). This pattern includes written instructions as well as photos, illustrations and stitch charts for visual learners.

LANGUAGE: English (I use US terminology).

YARN: you’ll need cotton yarn, weight 2 (Fine/Sport). I used 9 balls of Katia Capri (1 ball = 50 g/125 m/137 yds) and I usually wear size M.

CUSTOMIZATION OPTIONS: the length is adjustable and you can add extra ruffles, or no ruffles at all.
