Patti bag – crochet pattern

The Patti bag is designed to fit an A5 notebook and some of your other essential belongings. With its iconic 70s look, the Patti bag is a great accessory to match with your retro outfits. It’s a quick and easy project and makes a great handmade gift! If you use cotton yarn and keep your tension tight, the bag won’t stretch out, as long as you don’t load it too heavily.

SIZE: the bag is designed to fit an A5 notebook and some other small things like your phone, wallet, etcetera. The width of the bag is approx. 25 cm/10 inches.  The height of the bag and the length of the straps are adjustable.

SKILL LEVEL: advanced beginner (you just need to know the basics). This pattern includes written instructions, photos of every step, graphics, and diagrams, so it’s very easy to follow!

LANGUAGE: English (I use US terminology).

YARN: I recommend using yarn weight 4 (Medium/Aran/Worsted). I used 6 balls of Hobbii Friends Cotton 8/8 (1 ball = 50 g/75 m/82 yds).

CUSTOMIZATION OPTIONS: you can make the bag a bit longer and adjust the length of the straps. It’s also possible to customize the design, for example making multiple smaller waves.
