Description
The Valerie scarf is made with mohair yarn only, which creates a piece that is soft, fluffy, silky and lacy. It’s also surprisingly warm! You can make a large triangle scarf, or a smaller headscarf with straps.
The flowers are made individually and then joined together (no sewing). This is a perfect project to bring with you on a trip, or to work on during your commutes. The construction method also makes it easy to correct mistakes, so don’t worry about frogging mohair.
The Valerie sweater is also available as a pattern bundle with the matching Valerie scarf (10% off).
This pattern is recently updated and now includes simpliefied instructions, clearer photos, new illustrations, and extra stitch charts. You’ll receive a fully designed PDF that’s beautiful to look at, as well as a clean, minimalist version for easy printing.
SIZE: made to measure (you can adjust it to your own measurements).
SKILL LEVEL: intermediate. Working with mohair can be challenging if you haven’t done it before. However, the pattern includes written instructions, photos of every step, illustrations, and stitch charts, so it’s still very easy to follow!
LANGUAGE: English (I use US terminology).
YARN: you’ll need mohair yarn, which is usually weight 0 (lace weight). The yarn I used is Drops Kid Silk, color: sage green (1 ball = 25 g/210 m/230 yds). 1 ball of yarn should be enough for 1 scarf.
Enjoy crocheting!
